In Tanintharyi Region, gunfire has been exchanged between a revolutionary group and the military council in Laung Lone, and a man was injured after being hit in the bullseye, according to a Laung Lone resident.
On November 13th, at around 9 AM, a revolutionary group fired gunshots, and an exchange of gunfire occurred between the military council soldiers and the revolutionary group stationed near the Laung Lone Myoma police station, a Laung Lone resident said.
During the firing, a 50-year-old man named U Hla Myo, who was sitting in a fried food shop near the police station, was hit in the leg by a bullet, the resident added.
"That uncle always sits in that shop; he's paralyzed. When there's a shooting, he doesn't know where to run, and he ends up getting hit in the middle," he said.
After that, U Hla Myo, who had been hit by a bullet, was taken by ambulance to Dawei Hospital for medical treatment, as reported.
People's Radio Myanmar has not yet confirmed which group carried out the shooting or the condition of the damage.
Last October, 17 residents were killed and affected by the military council's heavy weapon fire and arrests made to kill within Tanintharyi.
